Starry Knight

Hello! I'm 21 years old, living in the Pacific Northwest, and I'm a female qpoc. Just some interesting things I've found and want to share. I especially like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, LGBT things, artsy things, and other flotsam and jetsam. Mostly reblogs.

Every day the same dream is a short game about life.

It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to play through

I really recommend you play, and come to your own conclusions on the meaning of the game

commission for sprungit!! i realize now that i post it that i forgot about his bag; if it bothers you, message me and i’ll redo it. i’m still happy with how it turned out though. pete, like most avian animal crossing characters for me are really hard to draw, because they end up looking like donald duck disney characters, which i probably can blame myself for: back in the days when 6-9 year old me wanted to become a donald duck cartoonist. (my art hero was don rosa.)

i think the yellow birds (and owls) are like pete’s little helpers. the reason they’re hanging out by the bulletin board when there’s new info up, is because they deliver the notes.

i was listening to this while painting it, hence the little piece of sky island. ; 3 ;

(also if you’re interested in a 15$ commission like this, note me? i’m not currently taking them but i might if i see there’s some sort of interest!)

Synonyms are weird because if you invite someone to your cottage in the forest that just sounds nice and cozy, but if I invite you to my cabin in the woods you’re going to die.

Gonna keep a tally of messages I get from a) white feminists completely proving my point and b) people who think this comic proves feminism is worthless because I criticized one part of it. (Even despite me writing these words underneath the comic.) Then I’ll add them all up, see which column has more, and then drink myself to sleep either way.

Haha… this is why we can’t have nice things.

I’ve been following this artist since the beginning of high school, maybe earlier. As a black womanist/feminist, seeing this comic makes me smile. White feminist tend to silence the voices of black women and other POC, steal their work and not give them credit. And instead of being more inclusive, white feminist tend to want to gear the conversation towards themselves. Being a POC or queer while being female adds to our human experience as a whole, which is generally erased in mainstream feminism. I am black and female, my experiences are different than those who are white and female. Awesome comic :)
